Welcome to Kathmandu – the capital city of Nepal. Today is your first day with us at EverTrek. We will send one of our company reps to pick you up at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). After the long flight you can spend today exploring the streets of Thamel and relaxing before we meet for our welcome dinner later that evening.

  • Day 2

Tour of Kathmandu and trek preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Today we will head out into Kathmandu and visit the cultural and historical sites of the Kathmandu valley. We will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu and have lunch at one of our favourite viewpoints in the city. Kathmandu lies at 1300m above sea level so it’s important to get out and about today and let your body acclimatise. In the evening we will grab any last minute items in the trekking hub of Thamel and get an early night ready for the trek tomorrow.

  • Day 3

    Kathmandu-Lukla-Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft) (30-35 minute flight and 3 hours walk)

We will grab an early flight to Lukla airport. It all starts here! The flight to Lukla is one of our favourite parts of the trek. Landing at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla is on many peoples Bucket List. Upon landing, we will meet the remaining crew and porters, who will
be assisting us throughout the trek. Shortly after this, we will start the trek on the stone paved trail through Lukla and pass prayer rocks, mani walls and small Sherpa settlements. Here you can sample some of the most beautiful rural scenes on the entire trek. This first walk is quite short as we descend down from Lukla towards Phakding. When we reach Phakding we will grab some lunch and have the afternoon to explore the village or even hike up to the nearby Monastery. The night will be spent in one of the lodges in Phakding.

    Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

(Highlights of the day: Wonderful aerial view of the mountains on the flight to Lukla, ‘Mani’ prayer rocks, Phakding village and ‘Gompas’ monastery)

  • Day 4

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft),(5-6 hours walk)

After having breakfast at your lodge in Phakding, the trail leads you towards the first suspension bridge of the trek and easy uphill through the settlement of Zapute, Toktok, Benkar, Chumoa to Monju, which is also a gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. Between Phakding and Monju you can enjoy small tea houses and shops. After short National Park formalities at the entrance to the park, the trail drops steeply to the long suspension bridge built across the Dudh Koshi River. We further cross another suspension bridge and continue the walk to the high Hillary Bridge at the bottom of the hill. After the bridge, the trail leads you uphill to Namche Bazaar- a gateway to Mt. Everest. This uphill trail will give you the first great view of Mt. Everest that is hidden behind Lhotse-Nuptse and other peaks like Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Kusum Khangru. The night will be spent in a lodge in Namche Bazaar.

     Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

(Highlights of the day: Visting small settlements like Zapute, Toktok, Benkar, Chumoa and Monju, Sagarmatha National Park, small tea houses and shops, suspension bridges, steep trail, Namche Bazaar and the very first view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Mt. Kusum Khangaru.)

  • Day 5

Namche Bazaar- a day for acclimatisation

This is the first day of two days set aside for acclimatisation. Namche is an essential acclimatisation stop so we stay as active as we can. We either head up to the beautiful village of Thame, which is an old Sherpa village or the village of Khumjung/Khunde/Khongde village. Hotel Everest view is along this route and if the weather is clear, you will get a great view of Mt. Everest and the surrounding snow-capped peaks.  If you have time, pay a visit to the Mountaineering museum or you can simply spend your time enjoying cafés, shops, bakeries and restaurants in Namche Bazaar. The night will also be spent in a lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Trek to Gorak Shep-Everest Base Camp- Gorak Shep (5,320/17,450 EBC) /(5,160m/16,929 Gorakshep)/7-8 hours

This is it! Base Camp day!

This is probably the toughest part of the trek as we ascend over 5000m and towards the historic Everest base camp. We get up early so make sure you wrap up warm as the weather can be a real NUTCRACKER. The trail gets a little difficult as we traverse the glacial moraine and find a route to the settlement of Gorak Shep where we grab some lunch and fill up our water bottles and head further up the valley. As we get closer and closer, you can spot the Everest peak and the north ridge of Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Mt Mahalangur, Mt. Lingtern, Mt Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse and so on.  Just a small ascent from here leads you to a 360-degree vista of snowy mountains. One of the most awe-inspiring views you will ever see. As we walk thought the rocky trail, we step onto the glacier and make our way over to Everest base camp (5,364m/17,575ft).

You have done it! A massive achievement and something you will remember forever.

Once we hug our teammates and get those base camp photo's, we will head back towards Gorak Shep where we will stay for the night. (5,160m/16,929ft)

     Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

(Highlights of the day: View's of Mt Everest, reaching the historic Everest base camp and box ticked.)

  • Day 11

    Hike to Kala Pattar-Pangboche (5,550m/18,204ft Kala Patthar)/ (3,985m/13,074ft Pangboche)/7-8 hours walk

If you're feeling up to it, we will get up to at 4 am and make our way up to the summit of Kala Pattar at 5545m. This will take us a couple of hours or hard uphill hiking but what a reward. A sunrise view of Mt Everest. Watch the first rays of sunshine hit the summit on Everest and take in the views. Breathtaking! Once we descend and meet the other team members who enjoyed a lay in we will head back down the Khumbu valley towards the village of Pangboche. This is a long day but as we descend you will notice the huge change in altitude and the increase in oxygen. We do sometimes stay in Pheriche instead of Pangboche depending on how the group is doing.

     Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

(Highlights of the day:  Sunrise view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori and Ama Dablam, summit a 5500m peak, enjoy the Khumbu valley on the descent)

If we have time, we will visit the Monastery once again or head for a tea break before we descend the steep section back down to the Dudh Koshi River. We cross the first bridge over the river and climb for 2 hours back up towards Namche Bazaar. The walking definitely get's easier as you descend but the legs will be tired after the last 8 days or so of walking so we will take our time today. We will spend the night in Namche Bazaar celebrating with a visit to the worlds highest Irish Bar. The hot showers and home comforts of Namche Bazaar make this a great place to stop on the way back down.

Enjoy the last day of epic mountain views, pine forests, Sherpa villages, prayer stones, flapping prayer flags and the flat route back to Lukla. Here’s what some of our awesome customers had to say
Just travelling back from an amazing EBC trip with Evertrek. I've travelled with a lot of other adventure travel companies in the past but have to say Evertrek has been the best. From the easy booking process and pre departure info and support, to the amazing local Kathmandu team, guides, sherpas, porters and yak men in Nepal I cant fault Evertrek. If you are thinking about a trip just do it. You wont regret it. And you wont regret choosing Evertrek either. I'm already looking at other trips and not even home yet!

Absolutely first class, from when I first booked knowing nothing about hiking at altitude, right the way through the trip itself. Everything has been handled with the utmost professionalism and the entire team has been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and hardworking. Our guide, Padam, and his team are worth their weight in gold. Could not recommend Evertrek enough.

Not been to EBC yet but have booked to go with them next March.I’ve just returned from a fantastic training weekend with them in the Brecon Beacons. It was wet and windy but Evertrek didn’t disappoint, . From start to finish, the experience was great. Both Andy( the owner) and his trusty sidekick Dave (the painted Yeti) were there to make us feel welcome. They were both hands on, and their knowledge was second to none. I can’t wait to actually go to Everest, and after this weekend I feel assured that I’ll be in great hands. Nothing was too much trouble, and it was great see the way that Andy and Dave talk about Everest with such a passion.Well done guys

This trip was exceptional from start to finish. Has to be one of the best run and professional companies I have come across. Before we even started we were sent weekly emails and lots of correspondence to get us excited for the trip. Any questions and worries were answered straight away some even by video replies!! The actual Everest base camp trip itself was one of the best experiences of my life however very tough! Everything from start to finish was run perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for more from Andy, Dave and the Sherpas they provided! A 5 star service all round!

I had the most fantastic trip in Nepal, all thanks to evertrek. Andy was so so helpful from the moment I first rang about going. Nothing was ever to much, always had a speedy reply- which was reassuring when I was stressing about equipment. The training weekend that they offer is also incredibly helpful and really gets you ready for your holiday. Our guide in Nepal, Bhim and his team, were absolutely fantastic, they worked unbelievably hard, you never wanted for anything. (Watch them, they cheat at cards!!haha) As for the trek, the negotiations of getting to Lukla were a bit up in the air...but that's just Nepal! Go with the flow. But once we got there, it was absolutely brilliant, everyday the scenery was beautiful and I never felt like they expected to much from you. Plenty of rest time and tea stops! I personally really enjoyed the food (I lived on veggi curry and rice-you get seconds :D) and thought all the accommodation was fine!! Basically an all round incredible trip, there wasn't a second I didn't enjoy!!! Highly recommend Andy and the team. Would defo do another trek with them 😀

Just returned from the Everest Base Camp and what an amazing trip it was! Evertrek got it spot on from start to finish, not having to worry about a single thing and well looked after. Our guide Phurba, Sherpa Harry and porters were brilliant! Getting us up the mountain in one piece and looking after us superbly along the way. I would highly recommend using Evertrek as your trekking company! Brilliant service

Recently returned from our EBC trek and I can’t fault Evertrek, right from the minute you sign up Andy is giving advice and replying to any queries you might have. Special thanks to Phurba and Harry our guides over there, they keep a eye on you and don’t let you go to quickly up the mountain and look after you. If you are thinking about doing it just go for it you won’t regret it . Awesome

Having recently returned from EBC, I can’t fault the level of service that Evertrek provided. From reaching Kathmandu I was looked after from the start. Special thanks go to our Sherpa Phurba our guide Harry, the portars who all made the experience top class. Andy Moore goes that extra mile ensuring you are well looked after even after the trek has finished. Top bloke, top team and top company - Thanks Evertrek.

I had the most amazing trip to Everest Base Camp with Evertrek, thank you Andy for being the font of all knowledge about this trip and for Rishi our guide for looking after us. It is probably the most challenging holiday I have ever done but it was worth every moment and the scenery was just stunning. Nepal is an amazing place and I will definitely go back one day. Thanks to Evertrek and my trekking buddies for a very special holiday.

Having recently booked myself on a trip to Everest Base Camp with Evertrek, I thought it would be one of those trips where you get to hear about everything you should have done two weeks before you go. Not with Andy and Evertrek. Immediately Andy was in touch with information, assistance and support. You could feel his energy coming at you. Along with the practical advice, Evertrek arrange training activities. These are great for finding out first hand what you need to know and how you might cope with the activities ahead. It really does crank up the excitement when you share your thoughts and views with fellow Evertrekers. This weekend we had one of these training activities in the Brecons. Andy made us all very welcome, and was there all the way, rain and shine, to helps us all along. We made some great connections, enjoyed the socialising (you earn it!) and came away even more excited to be getting on the plane to Nepal. Hopefully there will be more such events to enjoy, and build on the training already done. I’m already walking the dogs for 10mins more🙂.Thanks to Andy and the team for a great weekend. Good luck to those on their way in the next few months, and those who have a longer wait we can share your excitement.

A truly wonderful once in a lifetime experience. My sister and I trekked to Everest Basecamp with Evertrek to mark the tenth anniversary of our dearest Mum passing away. It was an emotional experience we will never forget. It gave us time to reflect on wonderful times past and brought us closer as only shared endeavour can. The Himalayan backdrop was the perfect location. But it's the people that made the trek. Our guide Kishor is a wonderful guy. A real fixer, high altitude expert, family man and now, friend. When the weather delayed our flight, he did everything he could to make sure we were first onto another. His experience, knowledge and local contacts got us into places we just wouldn't have seen without him. He knew when to go to the best places to avoid the crowds and he was the picture of happiness with his infectious smile. He was kind to the point of putting us first all the time, without hesitation. A true gentlemen and the source of lots of fun and laughter - perfect for morale. Our porters also deserve a mention for their hard work and dedication through some difficult long days at high altitude. Manesh was particularly hard working and charming, keen to learn and become a guide himself in time. Our trek wouldn't have been the same without them and when I go again I will definitely seek out the same team.My recommendation? Grab a loved one and go trekking in Nepal in the capable hands of the Evertrek team. And request Kishor to be your guide. You won't regret it.

Well Evertrek you did not disappoint! Finally managed to tick the box in life and get to Everest Base Camp all thanks to Andy Moore. A colleague of mine actually recommended Bucket list (Evertrek) after he completed the EBC and three passes trek. So I made contact with Andy and the rest is history so they say. My brother and I booked the Everest Base Camp Classic 15 day trek and all elements met our expectations with ease. On arrival at KTM we met our guide Kishor who took us to our hotel. We stayed at the Hotel Buddy as the Apsara was full. Lovely hotel. Nice clean rooms. The city tour was brilliant and welcome meal good. Onto the trek itself. The journey up to Lukla was exciting and after a delay of a few hours (not days thankfully) we arrived and met our Porters. Then dream really did begin and the trek started following the tracks the towards Namche, and beyond to EBC. The sheer beauty of the scenery and mountains during the trek was awe inspiring. The first glimpse of Everest on day three bought a tear to the eye. The leg of the trek to EBC was long and hard given the altitude but a massive sense of achievement was felt by all of our party when we got there! Worthy of special mention was our guide Kishor. He dealt with a few admin issues at the domestic terminal at KTM airport ensuring we got on a flight and during trek making sure that we got the best possible experience out of the trek. Friendly and knowledgable I cant recommend Kishor highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for him. All in all this was the trip of a lifetime, with breathtaking scenery, expect some long tough days of trekking staying in typical basic lodges. This is the only way in my opinion to experience Nepal and the Khumbu region at its very best. If you are looking to trek to Everest Base Camp look no further than Evertrek! Book now and experience the EBC dream and create some forever memories!

Thanks guys for the experience of a lifetime. What can I say about Evertrek! Simply brilliant. From the moment we spoke with Andy and signed up it was all taken care of. The guides were truly amazing, professional and were always on-hand to look after us. Listen, this is a tough challenge but it's well within the reach of most of you out there considering the possibility. I've kept myself pretty fit all my life (63 years young) but trying to keep up with my sons was, at times, pushing my limits. The scenery is so beautiful it becomes an emotional challenge at times. We did Kilimanjaro a few years ago - Base Camp blows that away completely. However, you need to be in the best hands and we were. Our guides, Rahul and Krishna were meticulous in making sure we were looked after every step of the way and needless to say we have become friends for life. I cannot recommend EverTrex highly enough. Don't think about this for too long - just do it. They'll get there and you'll never forget the experience. So,as soon as I have some pics ready I'll upload and share but please do not hesitate to contact me while I'm still flying through thin air!!! Thanks again Andy and EverTrex

Loved every minute of the Everest Base Camp trek! The guys were all very accommodating and helpful in the build up to and on the trek. Everything about the package ensured my time was comfortable, fun and without any worries. Our guide Rawal was informative, friendly and a great laugh when he got his drums out on the last night! A big thank you to Evertrek for making this happen and I look forward to booking with you guys again!

Hey guys!Just wanted to say a huge thanks to all at Bucket List, both here and in Nepal, for making my trip to EBC, Cho La and Gokyo so enjoyable and memorable. Himal, my guide, was a star and I enjoyed his company throughout the two plus weeks we were together; he looked after me really well and I have no doubt that his local knowledge helped to smooth the way on a few occasions when accommodation was tight! If my wife can be persuaded to let me go again, you will be my first port of call.Cheers!
